Frozen.

February 24th,

Ahh.. Another post in the early a.m. Oh how I miss those days (nope. not really). As you guys can probably tell, yes, I procrastinated and here I am - finished paper & semi finished studying. Despite the amazing snow weekend here in Van, I unwillingly stayed indoors all. weekend. long. - sad life, I know. Everyone has a kid in them and I truly wanted to release "it" this weekend. Snow is basically rare around here & I mustt get to it before it's gone !!! YES, I WANT TO BUILD A SNOWMAN. Obsessed about the cuteness of Frozen (the movie) & the magical-ness of it. It better stay till tomorrow ... I just wanna built a snowman ❄️ Nights for now.

Snowday Workday.

December 20th, 

What a nice day it is today ! We're finally seeing snow here in Vancouver ! Remember my recent post about the snow day that had a minimal amount of snow ? Well today is different, there's actually enough snow to make a snowman. I know it's an exciting day for lots of students around town because it's the last day of school, but more importantly, it's a snow day ! I kinda feel like the snow around here just releases my inner LG haha ! Anyways aside from the beautiful snow day, it's also a work day for me... Because my car doesn't take snow too well, I got a ride & was dropped off at work like hmm... 2hrs early !!! So, disregarding that, I'm right in front of the barista counter at Starbucks enjoying a salted Carmel hot chocolate ! It's #redcups season at Starbucks, so enjoy ! This is what the holidays are about - staying cozy in a warm coffee shop & enjoying the magnificent winter scenery ! Tomorrow is a, I guess an exciting day, I'm up for an alumni gathering with my fellow grad class etc. It's kind of weird don't you think so? It's just people change, and of course, I probably have too, but once you gather in a group, you'd immediately think of how life was 'back in the days' and just start missing those high school days.... Anyways have a great weekend & be safe as Christmas approaches !

December 10th,

Best feeling ever. Waking up in my cozy bed and looking out the window to find that its SNOWING ! Although there isn't much snow (really, trust me on this, theres like.. <5cm) BUT.... considering that I live in a region that is basically a snowfall free zone, just a mere layer of white snow on the ground is snow ! Hopefully, there be much more than just flurries  and bring on the heavy snow !!! 

Anyways, I'm half way to finishing all my finals , one tomorrow and still writing here (great - queen of procrastination strikes again) Just can't wait till everything is over and start the holidays ! Personally, I've seen so many amazing photos from the Christmas market - I think thats what it's called - but I've never been, I'm always hibernating under my blankets with a good old movie ! I actually really want to go this year ! I think I'll be going to a little German village like place called Leavenworth in the states for a week or so, I've never been there either... supposedly it's really nice when they do the light show - pretty excited for that ! Sadly, this year our family has just been too busy dealing with family stuff that we've had no time at all to decorate the house, or even put up our mini christmas tree !! Guess what I've been up to lately during my study breaks ! I literally think I'm aging like dramatically cause all I've been doing is learning how to knit !!! I used to knit several scarves during high school and have them donated to the Union Gospel Mission, but that was a few years ago. Lately I've started on two scarves, one is just a normal scarf in baby blue yarn - maybe I'll give it to a baby? I don't know. haha. And the other is a "knit two purl two" patterned circle/infinity scarf in black thick yarn. This is one that I just started yesterday and I just undid the scarf I made last year (as it was too big as a single loop circle scarf) and just started making a longer one so that it can loop twice ! Well, I guess thats my granny activities for the winter... 

Oh yeah ! I've been so busy lately that I completely forgot to make some ginger molasses cookies ! They're definitely a holiday favourite ! I don't know why but it seems to me that there is always a seasonal appreciation for ginger - if you know what I mean - its okay if you don't - let me explain... Don't you realize that once december, or more precisely, when Christmas is near, that ginger everything come into season? Like seriously, ginger molasses cookies, gingerbread starbucks drinks, even ginger hand sanitizer - yes those exist ! And once new years arrive - BOOM ! those ginger everything all disappears...Try noticing that this year, so maybe its just me...
