Foodporn German Style.

December 18th, 

Officially the last day of exams campus wide - yay ! You know what that means right? That means all the friends are back from their school & it's definitely the time to chill & catchup with the gang, how lovely. Alright, so an update from my weekend day trip to the states, due to the limitation of goods that can be brought back, I only got a pair of A&F super skinny jeans - and oh my god... they are absolutely the most comfortable skinnies ever ! The cutting is perfect & not to mention the fabric, oh so soft, and as a plus 1, the infused A&F perfume is like the cherry on top of the cake ! These are my favourite jeans so far, and if you make it in time, I believe their 50% off sale is still on - so ladies, and gents (of course) enjoy your shopping spree there ! Really, what made my weekend so fun was that the manager was offering me an opportunity to work there - such flattery, but I denied as I was a visitor, but yeah, that thoroughly made my day ! 

Today was a fun & exciting day (more like night) as well, the night was spent at a local christmas market in downtown. Its a market that strives to be similar to a petite German town. I went here mainly to taste all the German delicacies & my oh my, I was in for a treat ! Some friends said the food was great here a couple years back, and I'm usually not a big fan of food stalls, but hey ! might as well give it a try right? But anyways, to sum up, we tried a couple of different, more traditional & highly recommended stalls - we ended up trying a German savoury waffle (with cheese & oh yes, bacon bits), traditional sausage in a bun (I thought of it as a 'hot dog' but that's really not the German term for it) & finally a long pasta dish that in terms of taste, was a bit more sour than what I'm used to - but I was already told that it'll be sour. And to finish the night, my friends and I were looking around downtown for a coffee shop, or a petite cafe that was opened at that hour and ended up in a little French patisserie, we had a shared lemon meringue tart that was quite delicious to be honest. Our mini journey today can be summed up in one word - #FOODPORN to the max !
